PvP Monk Hunter - W/X
Hammer Mastery: 16(12+3+1)
Strength: 11(10+1)
Tactics: 9(8+1)
Back Breaker*
Protector's Strike
Crushing Blow
Irresistible Blow
Frenzy
Sprint/Rush
Healing Signet
Ressurection Signet
Notes:
-KD chain: (Frenzy Required) Back Breaker*, Protector's Strike, Crushing Blow, Irresistible Blow, Protector's Strike.
-Ridiculously energy intensive. A KD-chain requires 10 adrenaline and 25 energy.
PvP Side Kick - W/R
Swordsmanship: 16(12+3+1) or 16(12+3+1) Axe Mastery
Strength: 9(8+1)
Tactics: 6(5+1)/9(8+1) or 8 Wilderness Survival
Beast Mastery: 9/7
Sever Artery or Eviscerate*
Gash or Executioner's Strike
Final Thrust or Axe Rake/Disrupting Chop
Tiger's Fury
Bull's Charge* or Sprint
Antidote Signet/Bull's Strike
Healing Signet/Troll Unguent
Ressurection Signet
Notes:
- Requires a Zealous weapon and Stonefist Gauntlets.
- Only consider using Troll Unguent if you're running 7 Beast Mastery and can afford 8 Wilderness Survival.
- Healing Signet and Troll Unguent have their Pros and Cons but IMO Healing Signet is far more useful.
@brechin, 16 Axes, 8+1 Strength and 10 Domination.
9 Strength gives 12 seconds of Sprint, the next break point would be at 12 Strength.
@Akolang: "will IWAY(shout) and frenzy(stance) stack attack speed?" They used to stack, but not anymore.

If you want to consider it in terms of percentages, take a look here. Specifically at the "Effect of Weapon Attributes" table. A weapon attribute, Swordsmanship in this case, increases the amount of damage you'll get from a weapon in terms of a percentage of the listed damage. At Swordsmanship 12 you'll get 100% of whatever your sword says it will do. If it's a max sword of 15~22 damage you'll get an average of around 18 damage per swing, not counting critical hits. At Swordsmanship 11 you'd get roughly 91% of that or 14~20 damage for an average of about 17. You'll lose more damage the further down you go. But, you'll also gain damage the higher up you go, just not at as dramatic a rate. At Swordsmanship 12 you'll have roughly 104% of your listed damage or 16~23 damage or an average of around 20. At Swordsmanship 13 you'll get 107% of your listed damage.
So, therefore, at Swordsmanship of 16 you'll get 115% more damage or 15% more than the listed damage on your weapon. With a maxed sword that's about 17~25 damage or about 21 damage a swing.
The real benefit to increasing your attributes like that, though, is their effect on the skills you're using with a weapon. Skills have variables which can be raised by raising your attributes. Take for example the skill Galrath Slash which gives you an extra 1+((31/12)xSwordsmanship) damage above and beyond whatever your sword does. So, at Swordsmanship 12 that's 1+31 or 32 extra damage for your sword that deals 15~22 damage so you'll deal 47~54 damage with a Galtrath Slash or an average of about 50. At Swordsmanship 16 that's 1+(2.58x16) or +42 damage. That goes with your 17~25 damage sword for 59~67 or an average of about 63 damage. While your base sword damage only goes up by a few points you get an extra 10 damage on your Galrath Slash so when using that you'll get an extra 12~14 damage overall.

Very well put, and easy to understand. Thanks for the pointers.

Ah now this is something I was wondering as I looted some armour last night which, once Identified, unlocked as rune, but armour remains. How do I get rune? Do I just place looted armour on my own armour or do I use salvage kit on the looted armour now and magically a rune will appear?
Also, thanks to all the posts here, they have answered my question on what I should spend my points on on my W/E, cheers

To answer your first question, you must use Expert Salvage Kit. The ordinary ones won't give you the rune. Only the Expert one will.
The basics is, the Expert Salvage kit will salvage the rune out of armor, or the hilt of a weapon, or blade or string.
Normal Salvage kits will only tear to peices the armor or weapon and give you crafting materials, no runes or hilts or strings, etc.
Hope that helps you.

This is my warrior build. Muli purpose really.
Dragon armor/Runes: Super Vigor, 2x super absorption super swords, minor stregth
Perfect sundering sword of fortitude/victos bulwark
16 swordsmanship
11 strength
8 healing prayers
Mending
Healing Breeze
Warriors Endurance
Beserkers Stance
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Dolyak Signet
Course if you wanted to deal more damage, i switch out dolyak sig with galrath slash. Also i see frenzy is popular here, why is that when it makes you take double damage, whereas beserkers stance last longer, same energy cost same attack speed and gives 25% more adrenaline. I got a few more builds too, one i thought of myself for killing trolls.
16 tactics
9 swords(only to meet the requirement of my sword)
11 strength
Healing Signet
Dolyak Signet
Bonettis Defence
Gladiators Defence
Shield Stance
Defensive Stance
Deadly Riposte
Riposte
People laugh at me when i say i can powerlevel much better than a 55hp monk, but with this build its true. Cant people wake up?!?!

Regarding the build:
Tombs High-Damage Swordsman
Warrior/Monk
Swordsmanship 12, +3 Rune, +1 Hat
Strength 8, +1 Rune
Smiting 10
Healing 2
Hundred Blades
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Frenzy
Sprint
Strength of Honor
Restore Life
...Waht's the point of having smiting so high lvl if there's no spell that you use on the list?

More than a year and a half later and I come and look at this. It would be worthy to note for readers who are new to the game that alot of the information in the origional post is outdated and anymore would be considered bad advice, mostly the part about restore life and several other of the suggested skill combinations.

Wassup everyone, i just bought guild wars a few months ago. finally got to Droks yesterday.. did not have anyone run.. Got there the old fashion way, through dragons lair. oh yeah, can't believe what people are charging just to go there. people should just play the game instead.. anyways, I have W/R and i find myself not using the ranger aspect of my charactor that much. I feel that i'm going something wrong. can anyone tell me a good build for W/R?

Im Sick Of Hearing Bad Things Of Hammers
This is my hammer build. It has no elites yet cause I havent got any that I like. With this build I have beatten one of my guildies with this, his sin and tank, and tied with another tank when i was a lvl 18 and she was 20 with elites.
The Numbers in () are just mine but they might be different for you.
NAME: F E Z Z I C K
PROFESSIONS: W/MO
TYPE: ???
ATTRIB. POINTS:
9 Healing Prayers
11 Strength
16 Hammer Mastery
SKILLS:
1. Berserker Stance: For (9) secs. you attack 33% faster and gain 50% more adren. It ends if you use a skill.
2. Staggering Blow: If it hits target suffers from weakness for (21) secs.
3. Auspicious Blow: If it hits you strike for (+21) dmg. and if it hits a foe suffering from weakness you gain (8) energy.
4. Fierce Blow: If foe is suffering from weakness you strike for (+42) dmg. if they are not suffering from weakness you strike for (+21) dmg.
5. Healing Breeze: For 10 secs. you gain (+7) health regen.
6. Purge Conditions: Remove all conditions for target ally (including yourself)
7. Mending: While you maintain this enchant you gain (+3) health regen.
8. Rez Chant: Rez target party member with up to your current health and (23%) energy.
WEAPON
1. The Ugly Stick: 19-35 dmg, armor -10 while attacking, vamp 5:1, health +30.
2. Sundering Runic Hammer: 18-35 dmg, dmg +15%^50% health, Armor Penitration 20% 19% chance.
ARMOR: Pure Exotic Berserkers Armor: Runes Hammer, Sup Strength, Major minor vigor, and the +10 health on the other two.
On the Runic Hammer im working on getting a heavy or fort. mod.
As you can tell this build works alot on weakness, but then again what good is a warrior/sin/ranger with weakness on it????

A Warrior not using much from his secondary is usual.
